AI & digital transformation training

I have travelled the world training people to be better at their jobs. Technology can revolutionise news dissemination, making it faster and more accessible while enabling anyone to produce, receive, and distribute news tailored to their preferences and locales. Find out more about the digital and AI training I can offer at my website NotInTheHeadlines.com - or read on here for some examples of the work produced from my training.

Mobile Journalism Training

I have trained correspondents, producers and contributors around the world to use thier mobile phones to gather fantastic stories - good enough for broadcast on the BBC. This has allowed both the BBC and CGTN to produce stories from underrepresented areas and use otherwise unseen footage to give the insights and intimacy that make great journalism.

The Zero Waste Challenge

For COP26, I researched and gathered facts about global waste which I shared with our contributors in the US, China, Nigeria and the UK. I then trained them remotely to use their mobile phones - in Nigeria a very basic model - to gather pieces to camera, b roll and interviews to create illuminating social videos and TV packages on the subject of waste. With a deep dive into shopping, clothes, food, transport and household waste, it highlighted how sustainable our societies are and showed us what we can learn from others. With mobile journalism this project cost just a fraction of the ordinary TV budget but the insights were priceless.
